Artist Statement
Her work is characterised by soft, muted tones, layers of oil and acrylic, and gestural mark-making that evoke memory and introspection. Through her large-scale canvases, she creates a sensory connection between the audience and the landscape, using harmonious tones and expressive brushstrokes to narrate her experiences.
Theme: SCALE
My piece captures the aerial view of a moving tea tree lake—seen from above, a bird’s eye perspective. I believe that when we see the world from a higher vantage point, it offers us a deeper sense of perspective on life. Using dynamic brushstrokes and a refined colour palette, I aim to create a delicate yet powerful interpretation of the landscape and environment. My palette blends earthy neutrals—muted greens, browns, and blues—with warm, comforting pinks, reflecting my connection to the natural environment.
