Artist Statement: NUMINA
Since adolescence, intangible spirits and sensory ghosts have moved through my life and a thread I continue to revisit in my practice. What I experience feels closer to myth than symptom: a narrative that holds strength and fragmentation in equal weight.
For NUMINA, that thread turns inward. The new works come from a season of hermitage, an internal listening, a looking within rather than out. The palette is more bodily than my usual work, intense, vulnerable, patterned in deep reds and blues. Shell-patterns, armour and portals continue through this series, an interior gaze held alongside an interior listening.
