Carve out some time to explore Forage + Form — a meditative, creative workshop guided by Australian artist Hannah Nowlan.
In this 3-hour session, Hannah will guide you through drawing and painting techniques inspired by botanicals and natural still life forms foraged from our Red Hill site. Here, the creative process begins not just on the page, but in the quiet act of gathering and seeing — an invitation to tune into your surroundings and connect with nature before mark-making begins. Together, we’ll explore composition, watercolour, and mixed media in a supportive and playful environment. You’ll experiment with a range of techniques designed to help uncover your personal visual language, leaving with a series of studies created across various surfaces.
With a contemporary practice grounded in experimentation, Hannah offers an accessible space to explore art at your own pace. As the Winter Artist in Residence at Lander—Se, Hannah’s works-in-progress will also be on display in the gallery — offering insight into her process and inspiration.
