Theme: CURRENT
These works were created in the early months of motherhood, a time of profound personal transformation for me. They emerged in fleeting, patch-worked moments through a process that was deeply reflective and intuitive.
Amidst this shifting sense of identity I felt a persistent pull to continue creating, even as the structure of my days and the shape of my practice changed. These works speak to that quiet persistence and reflection, to the tension between mothering and selfhood, and to a shared experience among many mothers: the search for moments of creativity within the chaos.
The elements within these works mirror the physical and emotional landscape of my changing body and world. They reference bond between mother and child, linking our tender inner world with the expansive future.
