A duo exhibition of plant-dyed textiles and hand-built clay at Lander—Se, Red Hill. Ksenia Shinkarenko and Natalie Cootes explore how surfaces hold memory; not only as narrative, but as physical evidence of time, pressure and material change.

An original essay by arts writer and critic Emma-Kate Wilson, commissioned to explore the studio rituals and material surfaces of Ksenia Shinkarenko and Natalie Cootes. Published as a limited edition of fifty for our TRACE Exhibition.
SCALE: Exhibition
A structured exhibition with a simple premise: eight painters made one large work and one small. What SCALE revealed was how profoundly a shift in dimension changes the experience of landscape; from vista to detail, immersion to intimacy.
